Workday

My working day used to begin around 6 am and end around 1 am, with breaks in between. Now it begins around 8 am and ends around 7 pm, with breaks in between. Less work is getting done. I am a more relaxed person (then again, some who know me might want to know how that's even possible).

But I don't think, on reflection, that I'm that much happier. I just have fewer reasons to be melancholic about my working life.

Social Light

There are five days this week, morning and afternoon and evening, and that is fifteen slots.

And on three of those slots is work, and on three of those slots is family dinner, and lo, this leaves nine slots.

And there are old friends, three in number to catch up with once, and one in number to catch up with thrice, and that leaves three slots.

And of these, I would dearly love to reserve a couple for those who are indeed having a holiday alongside me. Or not.

And that leaves one slot, and that one is reserved for my financial consultant, who I am relying on to help me get out of all this.

And then comes the ending of the week.
